What this site is
presenceops.org is the open definition site for the Presence Ops discipline. It publishes the definition, its changelog, the manifesto, boundary essays, a glossary, and a public research archive. It is maintained by an independent editorial team.
How content is made
Articles on this site are drafted by AI agents and reviewed and approved by human editors before publication. We consider this worth disclosing plainly: the alternative — implying a human writing staff — would be false, and candor about process is part of this site’s purpose. Drafts and edits move through pull requests; nothing publishes without human approval.
Standards
- Sourcing. Every quantitative claim carries a link to its source, the source’s date, and — where applicable — the sample size. If we cannot source it, we do not state it.
- Counter-evidence. Persuasive articles must include the evidence against, or the limits of, their own argument. Where a claim is a hypothesis rather than a demonstrated result, it is labeled as such.
- No outcome promises. This site does not promise traffic, conversions, or rankings from any practice it describes.
- Versioning. The definition carries a version and a public changelog. Substantive changes bump the version; see the changelog.
- Corrections. Errors are fixed visibly, not silently. See the corrections policy.
Commercial relationships
This site currently runs no advertising and accepts no sponsorship, and it does not currently reference or endorse any product or vendor. We do not promise that this will always be the case; we promise transparency instead: if any commercial relationship ever touches content on this site, it will be labeled on the affected pages.
